Hey there! We’re Corey and Lissa Engstrom, and we’re the folks behind Learn Grid. We’re passionate about connecting families with amazing K-12 educational services. With a combined few decades of experience in public schools, homeschooling (yep, we’ve been there!), and building community programs, we really get the need for personalized learning. And in today’s world, we know how important it is to build intercultural understanding too.
Our journey began with a shared vision: to create a bridge between families and the vast world of educational opportunities. We recognized the challenges parents face when navigating the complex landscape of K-12 education, especially with the rise of diverse learning models. We wanted to simplify the process, offering a centralized hub where families could easily discover and connect with the services that best suit their children’s needs.
Corey’s got a background that bounces from K-12 and college teaching to diving deep into educational technology, and even training educators in skilled trades. This unique blend of experience fuels our commitment to integrating innovative learning tools and techniques into the services we highlight. He understands the importance of technology in modern education, and how to use it to enhance the learning experience.
Lissa? She’s got over 20 years of teaching under her belt, with a real soft spot for working with homeschool students. Her passion for personalized learning stems from years of witnessing the transformative power of tailored education. Plus, running E&e Performing Arts Center taught us firsthand how valuable it is to connect students and schools with awesome educational service providers, and how vital the arts are in a childs education. This experience gave us a unique insight into the needs of both students and educators, and solidified our belief in the power of community collaboration.
