Janet Arthur (A Town Sew & Tutoring Studio)

A-Town Sewing Studio is located in Atascadero. With over 60 years of sewing experience, Miss Janet teaches Sewing Machine Basics, including threading the machine, safety, parts of the machine, and maintenance. Students will learn to read and use patterns to complete projects, as well as various stitches, making buttonholes, and inserting zippers. In a safe and comfortable setting, students acquire a lifelong skill that fosters self-esteem, resourcefulness, creativity, problem-solving skills, and math skills while taking pride in their creations. Each class is 1.25 hours per week and consists of 4 to 6 students.
