Ventura Wild programs are designed to connect children to nature and instill a deep sense of belonging by nurturing awareness, knowledge, skills, and stewardship in the natural world. Our outdoor enrichment programs include offerings for children ages 3 to 12 in the Ojai and Ventura areas.Our experienced naturalists and educators create a learning environment that promotes understanding and respect for nature. These programs follow Forest School teaching philosophies and Next Generation Science Standards. Children are immersed in nature, engaging in investigation and play through council circles, games, stories, crafts, and activities that focus on our connection to self, others, and the environment. Learning occurs organically through the interaction between mentor, nature, and child, with a curriculum emphasizing ecological literacy and social-emotional skills.
