“We offer hands-on experiential learning through our Equine and Small Animal Assisted Learning Program. Participants will have the opportunity for hands-on training and to learn about large and miniature horses, miniature donkeys, pygmy goats, swine, dogs, cats, rabbits, turtles, and lovebirds. They will also learn how to groom, lead, lunge, and possibly ride the larger horses, as well as about the equipment used with these animals and early farm and ranch tools. Our mission is to encourage all individuals, regardless of disabilities, to participate in our program. Through interaction with our horses and small animals, participants learn about themselves and their environment. We believe that hands-on experiential learning fosters a bond of trust with animals.”
