BYU Independent Study

We offer more than 550 online courses, including university, high school, middle school, and free non-credit options, to students throughout the United States and over 100 countries. Our comprehensive self-paced courses are aligned to the Common Core and supported by certified instructors, free tutoring, test proctoring, and educator resources. Courses are engaging and promote high-quality learning through multimedia, video, animation, and interactive labs. We also provide Honors and Advanced Placement (AP) options, as well as over 40 world language courses. Scholarships are available throughout the year. Students can begin working on their courses immediately and have up to a full year to complete them.
