J-Bar Ranch offers a comprehensive educational and equestrian program for K-12 students called “Horse & Reader.” Classes are held during the spring and fall semesters for two hours, with a maximum of eight students per class. Summer camp sessions last three hours, accommodating up to twelve students.The program includes an opening circle in the barn classroom to discuss the day’s agenda, address student questions, review safety rules, and recite a safety pledge. Students are then divided into small groups for activities, starting with “horse management” tasks, followed by rotations through reading and horsemanship activities. Summer camp includes an additional multi-subject activity, such as an art project or themed lesson.Private riding lessons are available during the spring and fall semesters.
