Approved Vendor Process

Express Interest:
Vendors must start the approval process by completing the Approved Vendor Online Application.

Include in Your Submission:
– Approved Vendor Agreement (signed and returned)
– Copy of Business License
– IRS Form W-9
– Copy of Certificate of Liability Insurance
– DOJ fingerprinting clearance
– Copy of proof of Workers’ Compensation (if applicable)

Complete Fingerprinting:
For Livescan fingerprints:
– Appointments are accepted through the San Diego County Office of Education.
– Payment is required for the service.
– Use the required form provided by TLC to ensure results are sent electronically.

Note: If Livescan has been completed with another organization, a new Livescan is required for TLC.

Confirm Compliance:
– A business license is mandatory for vendor approval.
– Proof of liability insurance is required, with specific conditions for physical activities.
– Proof of worker’s compensation insurance is necessary if the business has employees.

Wait for Approval:
Vendors will be notified by email once all requirements are submitted and approved.

Meet Criteria for Approval:
To be placed on the Approved Vendor List, vendors must:
– Be an independent contractor or company.
– Be a local company (San Diego, Riverside, Orange County, or Imperial County).
– Provide services to multiple entities without conflicts of interest.
– Possess a valid and current business license.

Final Steps:
After the application review, vendors will receive an email regarding their status. Once approved, they will be added to the Approved Vendor List and can invoice TLC monthly using the electronic invoice form provided.
